Neocate Active was developed for children over 1 year of age with cows' milk allergy (CMA) or Multiple Food Protein Intolerance (MFPI) or another condition where an elemental diet is required.
Children of over one year with CMA/MFPI are often in need of nutritional support using an elemental diet. This is because they follow a restricted diet. For example, with CMA, children must avoid dairy foods, potentially increasing the likelihood of a poor intake of calcium. That is why your child’s Dietitian/Doctor may prescribe Neocate Active - an amino acid-based powdered supplement feed in order to avoid nutritional deficiencies in your child’s diet. Recommended intake
It is up to a Doctor or Dietitian to determine the total daily intake of Neocate Active and this will depend on age, weight, diet, and medical condition of your child. The recommended feed concentration is made up using 250ml water plus 1 sachet (63g powder), which makes a volume of 300ml.
Preparation
When given orally, Neocate Active is best served chilled.
Storage
Store unopened sachets in a cool dry place. Open sachets should be stored in an airtight container and used within 2 days.
